Statement of the President of the Republic of Indonesia on the 2025 International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

REPUBLIG OF INDONESIA

On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of lndonesia, I would like toextend our strongest solidarity and unwavering support to our Palestinian brothers and sisters on this lnternational Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. Today, our solidarity carries a profound sense of urgency The continuing escalation of conflict and atrocities has brought immense suffering to the Palestinian people. We mourn the loss of countless innocent lives, including women and children, and the destruction of homes, infrastructure, and essential public services. ln the face of this humanitarian tragedy, lndonesia calls on all parties to fully and unconditionally respect the ceasefire, end hostilities, and pave the way for a credible peace process. Security is the foundation of peace. Without it, lasting solutions, including the Two-State Solution, will remain elusive. A one-state reality is neither just nor sustainable. lndonesia therefore urges the full implementation of the New York Declaration on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the realization of the Two-State Solution as a single, comprehensive roadmap toward Palestinian independence. We also urge the United Nations to continue playing its vital role in leading this peace process. lndonesia believes that peace must be protected by presence, not merely by proposals or promises. ln this spirit, lndonesia stands ready to contribute personnel, expertise, and humanitarian support to any credible UN-mandated effort aimed at stabilizing and rebuilding Gaza, and sustaining the path toward a just and lasting peace. lndonesia also calls for the immediate and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian assistance to Gaza. The international community must ensure that UN-led humanitarian operations are carried out at scale, through all available crossings, and without obstruction, to relieve the immense suffering of the Palestinian people. The work of the United Nations and its humanitarian agencies remains indispensable in this effort. lndonesia reaffirms its unwavering support for UNRWA and other UN and international humanitarian agencies, and calls for their full protection in carrying out their vital mandate. P.4.024138 P.C PRESIDEN REPUBLIK IhIDONESIA -2- Any attack on or obstruction of these agencies is unacceptable and must cease immediately. They are a lifeline for millions of Palestinians. Their work must be respected, protected, and supported by all. lndonesia's solidarity with, and unwavering support for, the just struggle of the Palestinian people remain steadfast and non-negotiable. This commitment is a cornerstone of lndonesia's foreign policy, deeply rooted in our Constitution and in our shared humanity. lndonesia believes that a just and lasting solution for Palestine is essential for peace and stability in the region and the world. The future of Palestine must be determined by the voices and aspirations of the Palestinian people themselves. A peace imposed "for" Palestinians, but not "by" them, will not endure. lndonesia firmly rejects any attempt to forcibly relocate Palestinians or alter the demographic composition of the Occupied Palestinian Territory. Such acts would only deepen the humanitarian catastrophe and undermine the very foundation of peace. To that end, lndonesia reiterates its unwavering support for the independence of the State of Palestine, based on the pre-1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant UN resolutions and international law. This is the only viable path toward a just, comprehensive, and durable peace, one that ensures the birth of a sovereign Palestinian state, capable of protecting its people and determining its own destiny. lndonesia will continue to stand with Palestine, in word and in deed, until the day comes when the Palestinian people can live in peace, dignity, and freedom in their own independent and sovereign state.

H.E. PRABOWO SUBIANTO.
President of the Republic of lndonesia.
